An arrest warrant has been issued for ex-Dockers player Shane Yarran after he failed to make to appear in the Perth court over an allegation he stabbed a man.
The 27-year-old previously pleaded not guilty four months ago to unlawful wounding and was due to face Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a trial allocation hearing; but failed to show up.
The alleged attack happened in July 2015, four months before he was drafted for the Fremantle Dockers. He retired last year after he made headlines for his off-field behaviour.
Yarran also faces charges for breaching protective bail conditions, breaching a violence restraining order and disorderly behaviour in public.
He has not yet entered pleas for those three offences.
He is due to stand trial for that offence on August 29, 2016.
