Police have charged a woman over a violent theft in Perth’s CBD.
It will be alleged that on July 17, a woman in her 30s had her bag stolen from outside a toilet cubicle near the corner or Barrack Street and Wellington Street.
After realising that her bag was missing, she followed a woman in the immediate area carrying her bag and requested that she return it.
A physical struggle followed where it was also alleged that the victim was hit in the face and kicked in the head while she was on the floor.
Police attended the scene and found the 30-year-old woman nearby.
Meanwhile, the victim attended Royal Perth Hospital where she was treated for cuts and bruises to her head.
She has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug (methamphetamine), stealing and aggravated robbery.
She appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
