The pay war between WA Government and Police Officers has escalated, after Premier Mark McGowan stands firm on the matter.
The Government has offered a flat $1000 pay increase with its new wages policy.
But Police Union President, George Tilbury, is adamant that they deserve a 1.5% pay rise.
He warned the that officers would not step back in this industrial dispute.
“The Premier and the Government do not recognise the hard work police officers do,” he said.
Arguing that Labor had previously agreed to a pay increase in line with the previous Government’s policy, at 1.5%, but it later backtracked.
Mr Tilbury is confident that union’s campaign could still succeed despite of the Government’s repeated insistence that it will not change its offer.
