Two Men Arrested Over Extortion In Busselton

Two men have been charged by Major Fraud Squad Detectives, after an investigation was conducted into the extortion of money in April this year.

It will be alleged on Friday 20th April, a 36 year old man met two men to discuss a debt they alleged they were managing for another party.

It will be alleged that a 36 year old man met two other man to discuss a debt, they were alleging managing for another party, on Friday 20th April.

One of the men assaulted the victim, and then demanded he withdraw money to pay some of the alleged debt.

The victim was told to take the money to an address in Busselton, where he was met by the other man and handed over the money.

Detectives executed a search warrant on that address in Busselton, and as a result the two man have been charged.

A 30 year old Australind man was charged with:
– Demanding Property by Oral Threats
– Possess a Prohibited Drug
– Fail to Obey Order given by an Officer
– Possess Prohibited Weapon

A 33 year old man from West Busselton was charged with:
– Demanding Property by Oral Threats

Both appeared in the Bunbury Magistrates Court today.
