The Police Arson Squad is calling on the public to provide information that may assist their investigation into a fire that was intentionally lit at a house on Barker Avenue in Balcatta on Thursday 24 May 2018.
At around midnight, the residents of the house awoke to a loud bang from the front of the building. They saw their couch on fire on the driveway and the front of the house was also on fire.
Emergency services were called to the scene and put out the fire, which had left substantial damage.
Investigators have released photographs of a vehicle and persons who were present in the area that may be able to assist with enquiries.
Anyone who has seen any questionable activity, persons or vehicles or who has any dash cam footage is asked to come forward.
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that may aid in the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
