WA Police have charged two men following a serious road rage incident in Hamilton Hill overnight.
A 47-year-old Willagee man and 49-year-old South Fremantle man were arrested after firing blanks at another driver at around 6:20pm.
Police said the two men were in a white 2003 model Hyundai Getz hatchback travelling along Dodd Street, behind a Hyundai Elantra sedan, with both vehicles stopping at the intersection of Frederick Street and Dodd Street.
They allege a male passenger in the Getz exited the vehicle and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the occupants of the Elantra.
The passenger then appeared to fire several shots at the vehicle.
It was also alleged the passenger returned to the Getz and travelled south along Frederick Street before leaning out of the window and firing another shot.
Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and the man was arrested.
Officers found a black replica handgun containing several rounds of blank ammunition during a search of the Getz.
The Willagee man has been charged with Going Armed in a Way That May Cause Fear.
He is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on 11 December.
Meanwhile, the South Fremantle man will be summonsed to appear in court for a drugs offence at a later date.
Inquiries into the incident are still continuing.
Detectives would like to speak to driver of a silver Hyundai Elantra who was seen travelling east along Dodd Street.
They are also seeking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
