Traffic Enforcement Group officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Maddington yesterday morning, resulting in the collision of 5 cars.
Around 6:55am a black SsangYong Kyron station sedan was travelling south on Tonkin Highway near Maddington Road when the car drifted onto the median strip, overcorrected, returning to the road, to then hit an orange Hino truck.
Both vehicles then crossed over the median strip and entered the north bound lanes of Tonkin Highway, colliding with a white Mitsubishi Triton, which then collided with a white Mitsubishi Express Van. Both were then hit by a green Toyota Camry.
As a result, the SsangYong driver received minor head injuries and was taken to hospital and Hino truck driver was believed not to be injured.
Both drivers of the Mistubishi Triton and Express Van received leg injuries and were taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St. John’s Ambulance.
The passenger of the van and the driver of the Toyota Camry both received minor injuries.
