Missing Journalist: the story continues…

By Cassandra Elliott.

Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi has been missing since he walked into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2nd to get paperwork to marry his Turkish fiancé.

His fiancé waited outside for hours, but the 59-year-old has not been seen since.

The journalist has written pieces for The Washington Post that are critical of the state.

Every day new information is revealed, but his whereabouts is still unknown.

Saudi officials deny having any knowledge of his location. The consulate has not released any footage showing him leaving, as they claim he did.

International pressure has increased on Saudi Arabia, with the world seeking answers of what has happened to Khashoggi.

On Tuesday his fiancé wrote to The Washington Post pleading for close ally’s, the US to assist looking into the disappearance of Khashoggi.

At this point Trump has yet to offer any assistance, calling on Saudi Arabia to investigate itself.

On Friday, The Washington Post released shocking reports alleging that Turkey is in possession of audio and video evidence that Khashoggi was killed inside the Consulate.

It is unclear yet whether US officials have seen the footage or heard the audio. The world awaits more news.
