Man In Critical Condition Over King Street Assault

WA Police are investigating a serious assault happened near King Street in Perth on Saturday night, 6 October 2018.

A man has involved in a verbal argument in a licenced premises with the male victim and his brother at around 9PM.

Both brothers and friends left the premises, they were followed by the man.

As the group went outside, the man then punched victim’s jaw causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement.

The man then ran off towards the Northbridge direction and chased by the victim’s male friend.

The man successfully ran away after he attempted to punch the friend near James Street.

The victim, 27 year old Jarryd Dixon was sent to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The victim’s family have spoke out about the incident, Jarryd’s dad Clint says no one should have to go through what the family is experiencing at the moment.

He is urging someone with information to come forward and assist Police to track down the person involved.

Authorities have released CCTV images of the man who they believe he may be able to assist the investigation.

Police described the man as: 20-25 years of age, slim/medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a long sleeve white shirt, dark long pants and dark shoes.
