As a result of an ongoing inquiry, a 40 year old man will appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, facing child exploitation offences.
Police executed a search warrant on a residence in the Mandurah District, and it will be alleged that child exploitation material, drug items, ammunition, prohibited weapons, a bulletproof vest, and various electronic storage devices were located and seized.
An iPad seized during the search is alleged to be owned by the man, and contained over 20,000 child exploitation images.
He was charged with Possession of Child Exploitation Material, Possesion of Bulletproof Clothing, Possess Unlicensed Firearm/Ammunition, Carry or Possess Prohibited Weapon, and Failing to Comply with Reporting Obligations.
Further Child Exploitatio Material images were analysed on other devices seized, and the man was subsequently charged with 20 counts of Disturbing Child Exploitation Material, 15 counts of Fail to Comply with Reporting Obligation, One count of Possess Child Exploitation Material.
