Kwinana Prepares For Music Concert Under The Stars

Kwinana will be hosting the Tianqi Lithium Symphony Spectacular performed by Perth Symphony Orchestra, returning on the 1st, December this year.

The symphony will feature popular music themes such as Pharrell, James Bond, Nirvana and Metallica.

The 55-piece orchestra will create an ultimate music experience for audiences in a friendly environment on Calista Oval from 6:30PM.

Mayor Of Kwinana Carol Adams expressed her excitement over the event.

“The huge popularity and success of last year’s concert gave us no choice but to ask the Perth Symphony Orchestra to return,” Mayor Adams said.

“We asked them to deliver an even bigger and better concert in 2018 and we are certain they will meet that challenge with passion and vigour,” she said.

Perth Symphony Orchestra’s Founder and Executive Director, Bourby Webster, says taking music into residences’ backyards remains a major mission for the Orchestra.

“We are so excited to be welcomed back by the Kwinana community in 2018,” said Ms Webster.

“Our diverse program of rock, pop and film music has the power to connect people in ways they never imagined and is perfect for friends and family of all ages,” she said.

The Tianqi Lithium Symphony Spectacular is free as it’s sponsored by Tianqi Lithium, CSBP, Kleenheat, Fremantle Ports and the Kwinana Industries Council.

Tianqi Lithium General Manager says the company is pleased to provide the community with a free world-class concert.

Residents are welcomed to bring their picnic, rugs and chairs. Food trucks and free shuttle buses to Kwinana and Wellard stations are also available.

The City Council says further updates regarding the Tianqi Lithium Symphony Spectacular will be provided on the City Of Kwinana’s Facebook Page.
