A man was killed and a woman injured after their cars collided on Great Eastern Highway yesterday.
The crash occurred around 10:25am, 48 kilometres east of Merredin, when the driver of a ute attempted to overtake a truck marked with a “KalTire” logo.
The silver Great Wall ute left the road and crashed into trees and scrub.
The 44-year-old male passenger, from Kalgoorlie, died at the scene.
The 43-year-old female driver was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are asking anyone who saw the crash, or the vehicles prior to the crash, to contact crime stoppers at 1800 333 000.
