It’s been rumoured for months but now it appears to be true – Cue Clothing Company and Dion Lee have come forward to announce their partnership.
As the press release states: “Both parties see the partnership as a strategic opportunity to develop the Dion Lee business and accelerate the brand’s domestic and international growth… Dion Lee will remain autonomous in the daily operations of the business and independent from the Cue and Veronika Maine brands.”
Of the partnership, Lee has said the following: ”I have a great deal of respect for the Cue team and feel very lucky to be working with a partner who supports my creative vision for the future,”
“Having a partner allows me to become more creative and allows me to take on more exciting projects and build the brand to its utmost potential,”
“That’s difficult to do within an unfunded business. We’ve experienced season upon season of international growth, (but) it requires resources to capitalise on all of those opportunities.” Lee told The Australian.
It’s not the only acquisition as of late in the Australian fashion industry with LVMH investing in R.M. Williams and Myer purchasing Sass and Bide.
