21 kids, 3 adults were injured after their bus rolled over in Gidgegannup.

What was supposed to be an enjoyable overseas camping trip for a number of Malaysian and Indonesian students turned for the worst last night when their bus rolled over after hitting a speed limit sign.

24 passengers were taken to hospitals across Perth for treatment. At least 3 people suffered from broken limbs, Police said the injuries were serious but not life threatening.

“We are very thankful that no one was killed in this case. Some of the families I am sure back in Malaysia and Indonesia are thankful that the kids will be going home alive,” Detective Senior Sergeant Brian Hunter said.

It is thought that high speed and foggy conditions were to blame for the accident, Major Crash Investigators have ruled out alcohol as a possible cause of the crash.

The RAC Rescue Chopper was called to scene but couldn’t land due to the fog.
