An Aveley woman has been charged following attempts to evade police during a chase on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 4:20pm, police activated emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop a rented Ford Mustang Coupe on Trade Road in Malaga.
Police allege the driver failed to stop and drove at speed through several streets in the Malaga industrial area before police lost sight of the vehicle.
Police sighted the Mustang a short time later when turned onto Reid Highway where it collided with a Mitsubishi Delica and a Suzuki Swift.
The occupants of both vehicles received minor injuries.
The driver of the Mustang continued driving along Reid Highway when it became trapped between a truck and a stationary marked police car 500 metres east of Malaga Drive.
It is alleged the driver of the Mustang rammed the police vehicle in an attempt to force her way through traffic and avoid arrest.
The 25-year-old woman has been charged with reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, driver fail to stop – property damage, endangering life, health or safety of a person and no authority to drive.
She has also been charged with possessing a prohibited drug (meth), possessing drug paraphanalia and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
The woman will appear in Midland Magistrates Court today.
