Police have charged a 30-year-old woman over a two car crash in Dianella this morning.
At about 2:40am, police were called to a crash site at the intersection of Woodrow Avenue and Alexander Drive.
It will be alleged the woman was driving a Hyundai Getz along Woodrow Avenue on the wrong side of the road and went through a red light.
She collided with a St John Ambulance vehicle, causing it to roll onto its side.
Both vehicles were carrying three people.
The occupants of the ambulance were taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital while the woman of the Hyundai was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and child of the same vehicle was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital.
A 74-year-old female patient in the ambulance sustained serious injuries in the crash, while a 24-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai also sustained serious injuries.
Major Crash Investigators have charged the Hyundai driver from Beechboro with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive.
She will appear in a bedside court hearing tomorrow.
