Men charged after stealing Petrol

Around 10am yesterday a Nissan Navara was spotted by Police Air Wing Officers driving away from a service station on Wanneroo Road, Westminster, after allegedly stealing fuel.

The Police Helicopter followed the vehicle and air wing officers were able to direct police vehicles from Morley Police to intercept the vehicle on Wattle Street, Tuart Hill.

The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and was apprehended by officers on York Street before being take into custody.

It is alleged Police located and seized a small amount of Cannabis, Methylamphetamine, a glass smoking implement, and a controlled weapon (OC spray), during a search of the vehicle and its occupants.

A 40 year old man from Lockridge has been charged with Possess Phrohibited drug; Possess drug paraphernalia; Stealing; No authority to drive; Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Propoerty, and Breach of Bail.

A 29 year old man from East Fremanlte has been charged with Stealing, Carries or Possess a Controlled Weapon and Breach of Bail.

Both men appeared in Perth Magistrates Court today.
