Man struck down in violent Greenfields armed robbery

Mandurah Detectives are appealing for information in relation to an incident in Greenfields overnight, which resulted in a 23-year-old man being injured.

Around 10:45pm on Thursday 26 July, the 23-year-old man was walking along Waldron Boulevard, as the 23-year-old approached Wildair Street, he noticed a man on a BMX bike heading towards him.

The rider of the BMX stopped and struck the victim to the back of the head, causing the 23-year-old fall to the ground.

The offender then threatened him with a knife before stealing his bag and riding off. The offender was last seen riding east along Waldron Boulevard towards Murdoch Drive.

The offender is described as 18-20-years of age, with brown skin and a slim build, approximately 178cm tall with short dark hair, wearing shorts and a hoodie.

The victim was treated in hospital for a head a shoulder injury, which was received during the robbery.

Mandurah Detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who may have seen a person on a BMX bike.
