Joondalup detectives have charged a man who is suspected of a fire in Girrawheen on Tuesday 30th October 2018.
The man is alleged to have set fire to the disposal items in a skip bin at the rear of the service station on Marangaroo Drive, after attempting to enter the building.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to extinguish the fire.
Minor damage to the surrounding area resulted from the fire.
The 35 year old man from Greenwood has been charged with:
– Criminal Damage by Fire
– Attempted Burglary with intent
– Stealing (relating to an earlier unrelated incident)
He is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 26 November 2018, and further investigations into fires in the area are continuing.
